Buying a new TV for your family? It won’t be a one-man decision. Your whole family will be involved in this. Because every single one of them has their priorities so they will have a say in it. However, if you are living alone in your apartment, you can decide that yourself. However, that would be a little too difficult because there won’t be anyone giving you suggestions.
So here we are to help you out with the selection of your new TV. One of the important things about the selection of your new TV is its size. If it is too small, it will ruin the interior of your room and won’t be comfortable to look at. Likewise, a bigger screen won’t be of any good if your room is small. Therefore, before finalizing the right size for your place, you should pay attention to certain factors. We will tell you about them later in the article.
But apart from the size, you should also pay attention to the manufacturer and company. There are plenty of brands available in the market and you need to make your decision carefully. To know more about some of the best TV brands Click here.
Coming back towards the size selection, here are some key points to look at.
1 – Where do you want to put your TV?
The first question that you should ask yourself is the place where you want to set your television. Whether you want to put it in your bedroom or living room. Afterward, look for the size of that room. For example, if you have a big house, you will probably have a big bedroom and living room. So you need to get the measurements of that room and get the TV accordingly.
For example, if your room is big enough that one wall is at least 8 feet away from the other one, you can get a 42 inches TV. Furthermore, this is for 1080 pixels resolution. If the resolution is 4K, the distance will reduce to 3.5 feet between the sitting space and TV.
Likewise, if the room is big enough to manage a distance of 8 feet between your sitting space and TV, you should choose 48 inches one. 50 inches screen size would require a space of 8.3 feet in 1080 P resolution.
9.2 feet for 55 inches in 1080p and 4.6 feet for 4K resolution. And 10 feet for 1080p would suffice a 60 inches screen.
Therefore, you need to measure the distance between where you want to place the TV and your sitting area. This will help you calculate the right screen size. Thus, you can enjoy watching your favorite shows and movies with your friends and family.
2 – You will mount the TV on the wall or put it on the stand?
The second important thing to consider is that whether you will mount the TV on the wall or not. It is best to set it on the wall as it won’t require much space. But there are settings and risks too. For example, if you have pets, they might try to climb on them. And of course, climbing would result in throwing the LED on the floor.
Therefore, the other option is to set it on the stand. But to do so, you need to measure the size of the stand. The stand will accommodate near the wall and you can put your LED on it. As a result of this, the LED would be a few feet away from the wall.
Why? Because the stand would be on a table. And tables are not thin like paper. They are usually a few feet wide and long. And then you will put a stand on this table. Consequently, the LED will be a few feet away from the wall. Thus, the distance between the sitting area will reduce and you can get smaller screen size.
3 – Your room setting
Another important thing to pay attention to is the furniture set in your room. You can have a bigger room and the distance between the two walls can be more than 10 feet. But you won’t need a bigger screen just because of that.
You will mount the TV on the wall or set it on a stand. Thus, your screen is on one wall of your room. Then comes the sitting area. There will be a coffee table and sofas right in front of the screen and then the bed. So if you use your bed only to sleep, there is no need to get a bigger television. You can simply sit on the sofas to watch whatever you want.
And if you want to get the television for your living room, the sitting settings would be different. Therefore, you need to check that first and measure the distance. This will allow you to get some precise measurements and get the right size television for the place of your choice.
4 – The picture quality or resolution
Although the screen size of your television is important but what is more important is the resolution. You may get a 40 inches screen size but the resolution is only 4K. This will be too troublesome and you will feel irritated.
Likewise, a screen size of 40 inches but with 1080 pixels resolution would suffice a larger room.
Therefore, along with the distance, you need to pay attention to the screen resolution that you will be getting. A 4k resolution won’t be much exciting and if a whole family is sitting together, it will feel much worse.
On the other hand, 1080 pixels resolution is always better and preferable. But the difference will be in the prices. Better picture quality will be expensive. So if you have a tight budget, you should still try to get the best out of it.
