The director of Food Active noted in an editorial in the BMJ medical journal that 33.8 per cent of 10-11 year olds in the north-west of England were overweight or obese, and 33.4 per cent of five year olds had tooth decay.

Claims have emerged that the Russian government may have “compromising personal and financial” information on Donald Trump. Several news outlets have published “unverified” reports – including a 35-page document on Buzzfeed – that the Kremlin has “footage of him watching prostitutes in degrading sex acts”. The President-elect took to Twitter to dismiss the claims. “FAKE NEWS – A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT!” he said, calmly.
