If there was one thing I was pretty certain I knew, it was how to put on mascara properly. However, a couple of months ago I was let in on an expert tip that proved me wrong. Where I'd spent years zig-zagging, I should have been going up and down to stop clumps. A small tweak that makes a huge difference. Here's how.
You will need:
Angle a hand mirror downward so that when you apply your mascara, it doesn't smudge onto your brow bone. Brush your mascara wand from the root of your lashes to the tip, then down and up again for extra coverage. This rather than zig-zagging the wand will stop your eye lashes going clumpy.
Pull your mascara wand outward sideways towards the end of your brow bone to catch your side lashes. This will make your eyes look bigger.
Remove any excess from your mascara wand using edge of the mascara tube. Angle your mirror upwards and hold the wand vertically. Move it from left to right to catch bottom lashes.
And that's it. Done.
