Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar

In my opinion the best beauty advent calendar to buy this year is from M&S. Offering a brilliant mix of brands – Rodial, Nails Inc and Percy & Reed – as well as products – hair, beauty, skincare – it's the perfect way to explore. Spend £35 in store and the Calendar is yours for £35. So you can pick up some slippers for dad or a pj set for mum and take something home for yourself.

Costs £35, worth £250. You save £215.

A safe bet for all skin types, Pai's gorgeous skincare hero collection is therapy for knackered post-christmas faces. The set contains a full-sized bottle of their bestselling rosehip oil, a mini calming day cream, a full-sized cleanser and muslin cloth. You can't really go wrong with gifting glorious skin.

Costs £38, worth £50. You save £12.

Asos The Beauty Advent Calendar

ASOS's advent calendar is super for trying out well-known brands as well as some you may not have heard of. Classics include Cowshed, Elemis, Batiste, Dermalogica, Burt's Bees and Philip Kingsley, but the lesser known Egyptian Magic, MONU and Nuxe are equally wonderful. With 24 products, this is perfect if you want to spoil a loved-one (or yourself).

Costs £50, worth £175. You save £125.

Benefit Girl-a-Rama gift set

Benefit's lash-boosting Roller Lash Mascara would be a lovely gift on it's own, but add to that their cult Porefessional primer, Benetint cheek tint, powder blusher (with brush) and bronze, eye shadow duo and you have yourself a cracking gift set. The packaging may not be to everyone's taste, but the products are brilliant.

Costs £29.50, worth £42. You save £12.50

L'Occitane The Best of L'Occitane Collection

The ultimate in relaxation for bath dwellers, or those who really enjoy a good dose of shower time, L'Occitane's Best Of L'Occitane collection has all of their most-loved products tied up (quite literally) with a bow. The generous set includes shea butter hand cream and foot cream, almond shower oil, cherry blossom shower gel, lavender bath foam, almond milk soap and a mini bottle of Arlesienne perfume. Yum.

Costs £68, worth £89. You save £21.
