Instagram is a place where very normal women inexplicably post photos of their brunch on pastel plates and pose abreast a pool toy in the shape of a swan. It’s a place where people post daily updates about their puppies and say #blessed in a completely unironic way. It’s a place full of memes about bitches being cray and the highs and lows of adulting. In short, Instagram is an oasis for anyone who wants to pretend their life is better than it actually is.
But for Yulia Agranovych, a dentist from Saint Petersburg, Instagram quickly transformed from an oasis to a full-on hellscape akin to Melania Trump’s Christmas decor when she spotted a familiar-looking photo on another woman’s account. According to the Metro, Vlada Abramovich had posted a picture to the social media site of the view from Agranovych’s bedroom window with the caption, “City Lights”.
Obviously, like any good 21st-century woman with opposable thumbs and a strong Wi-Fi connection, Agranovych clicked on Abramovich’s account to partake in a little light stalking only to find numerous pictures of her husband.
Her husband later acknowledged having several lovers but insisted he had never been "mentally unfaithful" to Agranovych, which sounds like something taken directly out of the Gwyneth Paltrow book of relationship bullshit
She commented on the first post she had seen – the photo taken out of the bedroom window that she shared with her spouse – “Beautiful view from my husband’s bedroom”. Once that was taken care of, she confronted her husband who denied he was having an affair and instead offered up a super plausible explanation, saying that he had invited friends round for drinks before going to the cinema while she was out of town. To further cement his alibi, he insisted that Abramovich was one of his friend’s girlfriends. The lack of creativity he’s showing here should really be an inspiration to us all.
Naturally, Agranovych wasn’t buying it. “When the guests came, they would have headed to the kitchen to drink tea – not to the bedroom.”
Her husband later acknowledged having several lovers but insisted he had never been “mentally unfaithful” to Agranovych, which sounds like something taken directly out of the Gwyneth Paltrow book of relationship bullshit.
Again, Agranovych was having none of it and has confirmed she’ll be divorcing her husband, saying “such people never change.” She added, “If he finds a woman who is ready to be with him, and to accept it, let them be happy together.”
