If you're after a list of the very best beauty trinkets to make loved ones exceedingly happy without breaking the bank, then you're in luck. From Cowshed crackers to luxury balm baubles, we've rounded up the loveliest mini-treats so you don't have to. Meaning you can get back to Love Actually and your Terry's Chocolate Orange, pronto.

Best for A TREAT ON-THE-GO: Cowshed

This contains Cowshed's delicious Cow Slip Soothing Hand Cream (a favourite in The Pool office) and Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm for dry lips, in handy handbag sizes. Which means you're covered for winter skincare-gripes on the go.

Best for bath lovers: Aromatherapy Associates

The Ferrari of bathing products, Aromatherapy Associates' oils normally go for £49. But for a tenner you can pick up this 9ml Precious Support Time bath oil, which smells of eucalyptus, pine and peppermint – a little slice of heaven that (bonus) you can take away with you on hols.

Best for Party pals: Clinique

After a string of nights on the prosecco the best plan of attack is thus – slather your face with Clinique's supremely moisturising (and soothing) Moisture Surge, then add some colour to your lips with a swipe of the sheeny health-inducing Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry (large sunglasses optional).

Best make-up bag bumper kit: Bourjois

The best cracker going in my opinion. Feelunique has teamed up with Bourjois to bring you a full face of make-up for £10. The selection is no shabby affair either, made up of some of their best-loved products – the Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara, Little Round Pot Blush, Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick and Kohl & Contour eye pencil. You pay less than half of the full £25 value and get loads of lovely make-up to play with.

Best for skin SALVATION: Espa

For dry, struggling skin, enter Espa's Skin Rescue Balm: a do-it-all, multi-tasking rescue salve to soothe sore lips, flaky noses, dry patches and more, housed in the cutest Christmas tree design. The perfect prezzie since it can be thrown in bags or stationed on your desk.

Best for hair heroes: Philip Kingsley

Everyone should own Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer, on account of it's shine-boosting, anti-breakage and crap-hair-banishing abilities. This cracker contains a 40ml mini of Elasticizer as well as a 20ml of the Polishing Balm (leaves mid-lengths and ends sleek and glossy). Which means good hair is guaranteed.

Best for a bit of fun: Soap & Glory

A party popper and gift combined, this is one for the fun factor. Contained is confetti, glitter and (wait for it) two mini lip glosses. Pink Stardust is a spangly pink perfect for New Years Eve, while Bare Enough is a universally flattering nude, so everyone's a winner.
