If you spend most of your day looking at a computer screen, need to recover from a few late nights or feel so run down that your eyeballs actually throb – this one's for you. Big, bright eyes are the surest sign of good health, but for when you're feeling a bit grizzly, here are three easy tricks I swear by to pep myself up quickly.
You will need:
Draw an upside-down triangle shape under your eyes with your concealer (I like Urban Decay's Naked Skin Concealer). This, rather than a semi-circle, will cover all dullness, blend your coverage more naturally into the rest of your face and gives the illusion of a more lifted complexion. Then, gently pat the concealer into your skin using a brush to blend (rubbing will lift it away).
You won't believe how smudged mascara and eyeliner along your waterline can make your eyes look smaller, so clean it away with a cotton bud. Then draw along your waterline with a nude-coloured eyeliner. Rimmel's one has a silky texture, good pigment and won't drag. This will help your eyes to look wider.
Pat a bright champagne-coloured eyeshadow into the inner corner of your eyes (Stila's eyeshadow in Kitten looks great on all skintones, is easy to blend and has a subtle sparkle). The extra glow will make your eyes look brighter and healthier.
And that's it. Done.
